Schwarzbeck UBAA 9115 Broadband Balun / Holder

The 4:1 Balun/Holder UBAA 9115 canaccept both biconical elements (e.g. BBVU9135 or BBUK 9139) and open coneelements (e.g. BAOC 9216 and BBOC9217). The balun was especially designedto achieve an extremely high degree ofsymmetry, which is very important at lowerfrequencies. In contrast to a 1:1 balun the4:1 balun provides a better antenna factorat low frequencies and an improvedbandwidth, though small elements areused. The wide bandwidth and the fixedcenter of radiation help to make convenientmeasurements without antenna changes.Thanks to the small size UBAA 9115 canbe used as a passive field sensor.Reduced Losses (with also goodsymmetry) can be achieved with thebalun/holder UBAA 9114. The dimensionsand element fixtures of both baluns areidentical in order to accept the sameelements.
